Our products: recycled materials, local production, short transport routes.

FROM IDEA TO FINISHED PRODUCT

Surfboard mit Longboard Finne Zeichnung

But how does our idea now become a surf fin?

In the beginning we were faced with exactly this question. After a lot of tinkering and trial and error, a first prototype was created in Sebastian's garage.

This was then developed further and further. In the meantime, we have replaced the garage with a professional production facility. With our cooperation partner, the company Reichle, we produce our surf fins from recycled materials. This partnership enables us to manufacture products that fascinate and inspire.

THE MATERIAL

In order for us to meet our expectations of sustainability and transparency, it is crucial for us to know where our material comes from. However, it must also have certain qualities so that we can produce fins in the desired quality. So we have been studying materials intensively. Luckily, we are supported by the company MCT Kunststoffe based in the north of Germany who supply us with local, recycled materials and their expertise.

THE COMPOSITION OF OUR SIEVE SURF FIN

For our surf fin to achieve the right strength, it is made of a mixture of plastic and fiberglass.

70% of the material is recycled plastic.

30% of the material of the surf fin is fiberglass.

The fiberglass portion gives our fin the necessary stability.

OUR FINS &
THEIR TEXTURE

The unique surface design was designed and developed by our partner, Reichle Technologiezentrum GmbH.
This partnership was enabled by Reichle's experienced and highly specialized designers. With the help of state-of-the-art laser texturing in 5-axis laser systems, the structure was introduced into our tools and the unique appearance of our fins was created. Due to the unlimited design freedom of the laser technology, the Sieve Surf fins are characterized by a very flat and detailed surface, which smoothly transitions from an organic textile structure to a geometric polygon structure - this design makes our products high quality and timeless.

This is where our basic idea of giving plastic a higher value as a recyclable material and processing it into a high-quality product comes into play.

OUR FINS &
THEIR PRODUCTION

SK-Industriemodell-Logo-2017-03-07-RZ-TZP-Groß.png

We are pleased to be able to further expand our production with SK Industriemodellbau. In addition to Reiche, we have gained an absolute specialist in the production of various injection molded components.

Together we will push the topic of local production and the processing of recycled plastic.

SK Industiemodellbau specializes in small series and can therefore quickly and flexibly produce the most complicated components in the shortest possible time. The company develops and produces exclusively in Germany.

With their own developed clamping system and the use of special aluminum, costly injection molds are eliminated. This enables a real competitive advantage.

For us, SK Industriemodellbau represents, next to FA Reichle, the perfect extension for our production. Together with SK Industriemodellbau we develop our new models and can thus continue to ensure a local production, from recycled materials in the highest quality.
