FAQ
When selecting our material suppliers, on the one hand we paid great attention to the quality of the material - in order to produce fins with the desired properties, a special material composition is necessary - on the other hand we want to guarantee that we produce fins from recycled plastic and such contribute to a circular economy. The material of the fins now consists of 70% recycled plastic (e.g. old fishing nets or post-consumer material) and 30% fiberglass. The fiberglass content is added as a raw material because fiberglass is difficult to recycle. However, the proportion is necessary to achieve the desired strength of the fin.
Surf fins control your surfboard. Like the oar on the boat. The resistance they create in the water gives your board grip on the wave, turning in the water and keeping on track. So it's logical that their size and shape have a strong influence on the handling of your board. Sometimes you can create a completely different driving experience simply by using different fins. You might even be able to save a board in your quiver and increase your range of different surf fins instead.
Choosing the right surf fins for you depends on three factors: your height, your riding style and the fin box of your surfboard. You can find more information in our blog post.
