Surfing is a way of life that also shapes the way of life away from the waves. Surf Shacks Vol. 2 shows houses of surfers all over the world that are just as different as the people who live in them. Each of them is a surfer first, but they are all also connected by their work as creative people: as artists, filmmakers, photographers, designers, musicians, chefs, architects and entrepreneurs. Having chosen a life that allows both is expressed in their homes - from the self-built wooden hut on the beach to the modern townhouse.

 ABOUT THE EDITOR
 Matt Titone is a graphic designer from Delaware. After a stint as a freelance designer and art director in New York, he moved to Los Angeles in 2006, where he co-founded the creative agency ITAL/C Studio and Indoek, an online platform closely linked to surf culture. Indoek's first book Surf Shacks was published by gestalten in 2017.
